In conjunction with the release of Storm Surge in July, I would love to run another model contest! You can see the previous contest submissions here!

To celebrate the pre-contest kickoff of the model contest in July, feast your eyes on these wonderful pictures submitted by Michael Saboda. He presents the HIMS Achilles for your viewing pleasure! He built the ship out of bass wood and machined the cannon, Y gun and other fixtures out of brass.

New this year is an artwork contest as well! I’ve had numerous readers submit their fantastic ideas on what various things around the Destroyermen Universe look like.

Now, I can’t promise anything spectacular, but submissions will be featured on the blog and a permanent link with credit to both the model builders and the artists.

The winners of both categories (model building and artistry) will get signed hardcovers of ALL the books in the series to that point. The winner of the model contest will get collectible Galley Proofs as well.
