Would the Russian Empire have survived if it had lost the Russp-Japanese War?
The Russians lost the Russo-Japanese War because of corruption in Moscow.
The Japanese had just come off a victory over the Imperial Chinese Navy in
the Battle of the Yalu ten years earlier in the First Sino-Japanese War. If Russia
lost the Russo-Japanese War, then there’s another scenario that could work.
The Russian Civil War was from 1918 to 1922. The two factions then were the
Reds and the Whites. The Red Army was commanded by Leon Trotsky, and
the White Army, was commanded by Admiral Wrangel. The Bolshiviks had killed
the Romanovs because the White Army was close to rescuing them. If the Whites had won the Russian Civil War, the Romanovs would have been restored
to the Russian throne. Then there’s the biggest scenario, Nicholas II abdicated in favor of his brother, Duke Michael, who refused the crown. If
Nicholas had abdicated in favor of his son, the Czarevich Alexis, then the
    Russian monarchy would have survived.

Well I’ve got mine on order after reading the 2nd book recently. I was just watching some movies lately which reminded me of the Destroyermen trilogy. Pirates of the Caribbean 3 which featured a fleet of East India Company warships, ie the Grik Fleet and The Sand Pebbles which though set some time before the beginning of the Destroyermen story does feature the Asiatic Fleet I think in China. At least a gunboat. Haven’t watched the whole thing and I need to look up the history of the time.

    Alan,
Thanks for the kind words. I am waiting to hear what the submission/release schedule will be, so I don’t know anything yet. I’m writing though, and I’ll sure post the info as soon as I hear anything!
    Take care,

I did not start the series until Into the Storm came out in paperback. As soon as I finished Into the Storm I ordered Crusade and Maelstrom. The world you created just keeps getting better. I was thrilled to see that you have a contract to continue writing the Destroyermen series. There is certainly room for a lot more. I am looking forward to the next books. Hope it comes soon.
